“Earning my Bachelor’s degree is something that no one can take away from me. We didn’t come from a lot and it wasn’t easy for either of us – we had to work hard for it. Jose (my brother) showed me it could be done. I earned a 4.0 in college – not once but multiple times! That was something that I never saw myself doing and I’m very proud of that.
I feel like my bachelor’s degree is very much for my family. The next one, my post-graduate degree, will be for me. I know law school or a doctorate program won’t be easy, but I feel like I am up for the challenge and I will be able to do it.”
