It is these values that brought me to volunteer, mentor, and become a Board Member and Advisory Board Chair, along with the kindness, intelligence, and follow-through I’ve seen demonstrated by all of the staff and board members.
Working with my mentee, Julisa Gonzalez, through high school, college, and now returning to 10,000 Degrees as our Marin High School Fellow, has been an extraordinary journey together.
Our family has been growing grapes in Napa for over 40 years, and agreed that 10,000 Degrees would be a perfect fit for the students and families of the Napa Valley. We have seen firsthand our 10,000 Degrees scholarship graduates return to Napa to work, not only in companies but also in nonprofits and for 10,000 Degrees in Napa. This is our ultimate goal: to educate, professionalize, and uplift the entire community.
