10,000 Degrees presents Transition to College Series to support 1st year college students preparing for a successful academic year. We will be cover tips, tools and resources to support students college journey. Students will also have a chance to meet alumni, current college students and the 10,000 Degrees Team.

How to Build Your Community

Are you curious about how to find your campus community? As a first year student, it may be difficult to discover your place on campus and figure out where you feel like you belong. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of how to become familiar with your college campus, get involved with student clubs/organizations, and find your local and 10,000 Degrees community!

Personal Finance

Let’s talk about money! Join us to hear about our current alumni and college students’ experiences managing their finances. During this workshop, we will be talking about living expenses, living off campus, opening a bank account, building your credit, and budgeting as a college student.

Career Advice for Recent High School Graduates

During this workshop, you will begin to learn how to navigate resources, such as academic support, financial aid, mental health and food security.
