10,000 Degrees ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration’ To Recognize Five Inspiring Honorees On Thursday, November 14, 2024, At Julia Morgan Ballroom In San Francisco

San Rafael, Calif. (September 24, 2024) – 10,000 Degrees, an organization dedicated to unlocking student success at scale by giving more students equitable opportunities for a quality college education and career success, hosts its annual ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration’ on Thursday, November 14 at San Francisco’s renowned Julia Morgan Ballroom. The 10,000 Degrees ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration’ will recognize five inspiring college graduates who are making an impact in the world as changemakers in their families, careers, and communities.

“10,000 Degrees strives to achieve educational equity by supporting students from low-income backgrounds to realize their full potential. Our amazing alumni exemplify the power that comes from earning a college degree, and how that positively changes the course of their lives and their communities,” said Kim Mazzuca, 10,000 Degrees president and CEO. “The annual ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration’ is an opportunity to recognize our amazing college graduates, and the contribution and passionate work of our extensive 10,000 Degrees community.”

Last month, 10,000 Degrees led a call for nominations which resulted in many submissions, and ultimately, the selection of 11 Alumni Changemakers semi-finalists. The general public and 10,000 Degrees community is invited to now vote to select the five 2024 Alumni Changemakers honorees. The five honorees will be presented with the 10,000 Degrees Alumni Changemaker Award and will be invited to share their inspiring stories at the ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration.’

Guests attending the 10,000 Degrees ‘Alumni Changemakers Celebration’ will enjoy a cocktail reception with cityscape views, a seated three-course dinner, and a program featuring live storytelling from the five 10,000 Degrees Alumni Changemaker honorees.
