I am a first-generation college student and Colombian immigrant, raised by a single mother. Overcoming homelessness during high school, I found support and guidance from 10,000 Degrees, which helped me believe in the possibility of higher education as a vehicle to change my life.
10,000 Degrees came into my life when few knew my struggles. With their help navigating the college application and financial aid process, I was able to take control of my future and reach for my dreams. Their guidance transformed what seemed overwhelming into an achievable reality.
10,000 Degrees provided support and exposure to other people who looked like me, were from similar backgrounds, and who had college aspirations. Sometimes, all it takes is one person to believe in you to ignite a journey of growth and achievement.
Never underestimate the impact of your support. Even a small contribution can be a lifeline for a student, covering essential expenses and creating equal opportunities. Your generosity fosters equity and helps students focus on their success.
My goal is to create a platform connecting underserved Latino entrepreneurs, uncovering talent in unconventional places. I aim to be the bridge that helps others elevate themselves.
I proudly volunteer my time mentoring underrepresented minorities in their pursuit of STEM education and careers. Representation matters.
