Getting an education and being a college graduate is incredibly important to me because my parents didn’t go to college, and I’ve seen them struggle from a young age trying to survive and get by. They always emphasized that getting a college degree will make it so much easier. College broadens your horizons, and that’s really important.
Attending college has made me realize my family, friends, and community are my purpose, and my motivation in my academic pursuit. I want to change the world for the better by uplifting those around me and being a positive influence in my community.
