As a first-generation student, I faced a lot of obstacles. I didn’t really know what I was doing when it came to college. 10,000 Degrees helped me so much with my classes and navigating campus resources. They helped me connect with my advisor and have regular check-ins whenever I needed help. They guided me with my classes and gave me advice when I wanted to give up.
Attending college has fueled my desire to change the world for the better. I want people to be healthier and have access to medical services.
Getting an education is very important because of the skills you gain in classes and from learning from others. As a college graduate and a first-generation student, I want to give back and be an example to others.
10,000 Degrees changed my life by staying on top of me and making sure I was getting my classes done and my degree done. I never thought I was going to be capable of finishing college, especially in under three years. They also helped me get resources like mentorship and my advisor, who even helped me with summer classes and how to advance in them.
