I’ve heard constantly throughout my life that although you can always buy things, you can never buy time. The 10,000 Degrees scholarship guaranteed time to dive into the unknown and learn to my heart’s content. More importantly, the organization was instrumental in guiding me with resources to pursue my goal of serving my community and supporting youth empowerment.
In my role at Kaiser Permanente as a KP LAUNCH Program Coordinator, I now support a summer internship for underserved high school and college students, offering them the mentorship and support needed to achieve their healthcare goals and build a brighter future. As a college graduate, it’s incredibly fulfilling to be in a position where I can give back and help the next generation of underserved students achieve their goals, just as I was supported in achieving mine.
