A dedicated bilingual school counselor, I hold a Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling with a PPS Credential from San Jose State University and a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University, Northridge. Currently, I serve as one of two ELD/Newcomer Counselors at San Rafael High School, where I facilitate culturally responsive family meetings, and implement a counseling curriculum designed to support immigrant youth’s academic, emotional, and social transitions. Collaboration is key to the work I do and have enjoyed doing so with staff members, community members and community organizations. My experience spans school-based counseling, trauma-informed care, college and career advising, and community outreach. Fluent in Spanish, I am passionate about building safe, inclusive environments where students can thrive emotionally and academically.
