“I’m the 10,000 Degrees College Access Program Manager, Lake County, which feels like a natural fit for me because I grew up in Lake County and graduated from Lower Lake High School! I have always believed that education is the key to success. That’s why I’m so excited to be part of this organization: it gives people like me a chance to make a real difference in their community and is committed to helping students realize their full potential.
Working at 10,000 Degrees is an incredible opportunity because we are able to provide students with post-secondary support and guidance so they can take charge of their futures, reach their fullest potential, and live better lives. As a Fellow Lake County resident, former student at LLHS, and first-generation college graduate it’s truly humbling to be able to work with students who have similar backgrounds as me—students who are just starting out on this journey towards college graduation. That’s the kind of thing that makes me proud: knowing that we’re helping students who deserve it most get an education so they can achieve their goals, be role models to their peers, and positively impact their communities which they otherwise wouldn’t have been able to do without our support.”
