“Being connected to 10,000 Degrees has helped to reduce my financial anxiety around my education. The scholarships I received through the program paid for my textbooks at Santa Rosa Junior College, allowing me to save more for my transfer to a 4-year university.
Attending college helped to widen my understanding of California’s diverse communities. I’ve enjoyed learning about a wide variety of cultures and schools of thought through my education, which has greatly improved my knowledge of and respect for other individuals and perspectives.
I want to change the world for the better through my future career in teaching. My goal is to encourage my students to explore the world around them and harness their passions and skills for good. If everyone used their skills to benefit their community, then the world would be a better place.
Getting an education and being a college graduate is important to me because it will make my dream career possible!
Thank you for supporting 10,000 Degrees and local students, because your contributions help—especially for students who might not receive as much.”
