As part of our Black Student Engagement programming, we empower students by connecting them directly to higher education through supported access to Black College Expo field trips. These high-impact, cross-collaborative events deliver an immersive, full-day experience packed with focused college readiness support, hands-on engagement, and direct access to university admissions.

Black College Expo Field Trip to Sacramento State University
Saturday, October 3, 2026
10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Students attending each field trip have the opportunity to explore college options, learn about the college and university admission process, financial aid and & scholarships opportunities, and college affordability.
- FREE event open to all juniors, seniors, and community college students in any of the regions we support
- Meet with over 100 colleges & universities
- Get accepted to colleges on the spot
- Receive outside scholarships on the spot
- Get your application fees waived
- Transportation & lunch provided

Highlights From Recent Field Trips
Students attending our Black College Expo field trips have had opportunities to:
- Apply to colleges and receive admittance on the spot to multiple colleges and universities!
- Receive 1:1 and small-group support in starting their 10,000 Degrees scholarship application.
- Engage directly with admissions representatives from many colleges and universities, including a strong presence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
- Attend free workshops provided by the National College Resource Foundation (NCRF) covering essential topics like scholarships, financial aid, and the college admissions process.
- Attend guided campus tours led by current students, offering an authentic glimpse into college life.
