Black Student Engagement

Black Student Engagement

10,000 Degrees supports students from low-income backgrounds with scholarships, financial aid support, near-peer mentorship, and career guidance to ensure college and career success. Through our College Access, College Success, and Career Success programs, students receive one-on-one support, resources, and professional development from high school through graduation and beyond.

Embedded within our programs is our Black Student Engagement, which seeks to empower Black/African American high school students and families with the knowledge and skills necessary to make an educated social, emotional, and financially sound college decision.

We partner with high schools and community colleges to offer various avenues of senior-year and community college transfer programming that assists students and families as they transition from high school or community college to their post-secondary pathway and beyond.

We then support students throughout their post secondary education at colleges and universities and prepare them with skills for career success.
