Alondra Quiles Cardenas is the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Fellowships at Stanford University’s Haas Center for Public Service, where she supports students exploring careers in public service. She is currently pursuing an M.A. in Equity and Social Justice Education at San Francisco State University and holds a B.A. in Learning and Behavioral Studies and Ethnic Studies.
Alondra’s commitment to educational equity is personal. Moving from a predominantly white community to a predominantly BIPOC community gave Alondra the language and awareness to better understand inequities affecting communities like her own. Her professional journey has included serving as a High School Success Advisor with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula, where she supported students toward high school graduation, and as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the East Palo Alto Academy Foundation, where she mentored first-generation students from her community and developed college navigation curriculum.
As a 10,000 Degrees alumna, Alondra deeply values the financial support and mentorship she received. She hopes to continue supporting marginalized students in navigating their educational journeys, expanding their opportunities, and creating pathways toward educational and economic equity for themselves, their families, and their communities.
